Personal Assistant

The Resume

Why he might be annoying:

He stopped pursuing his doctorate to work for Marlee full time.
He was originally turned down for the job as Marlee’s interpreter because her agent was looking for a female interpreter.
He admitted to overstepping his bounds as an interpreter when he blurted out the suggestion in a meeting that Marlee star in a remake of Wait Until Dark.
He is a Gilbert Gottfried lookalike, which led some to mistakenly think that Marlee and Gottfried were an item (if - say - they only knew of Marlee from magazines and didn't know she was deaf).
The Gottfried connection was such a running joke that Gilbert even substituted for him as an interpreter at the 2011 Donald Trump Roast.
He appeared in a Season 4 finale Celebrity Apprentice segment in 2011 with Trump, who towered over him.

Why he might not be annoying:

Both his parents are deaf, and he grew up around sign language.
Huffington Post called him 'The Most Famous Interpreter in the World.'
He's extremely good at communicating and translating difficult words or phrases to Marlee on the spot.
He met Marlee the year she was nominated for Best Actress and interpreted for her when she gave her acceptance speech. (He was also the first to communicate to her that she had won.)
His first celebrity gig was interpreting for Linda Bove on a series of local talk shows during the National Tour of 'Children of A Lesser God.'
He produced and wrote the Disney Channel original movie 'Eddie's Million Dollar Cook Off' with Taylor Ball and Orlando Brown.
His floating around the room (seemingly at random) translating the various arguments amongst celebrities for Marlee made him a fan favorite with Celebrity Apprentice viewers.
Donald Trump called him 'a great guy' on the finale.
Marlee said of their working relationship: 'An interpreter is not an advantage; an interpreter is access. He’s not a Tempur-Pedic mattress. I don’t need comfort from him. I need to be working.'
