    Portrayed the title role in the ‘Dr. Shrinker’ segments of The Krofft Supershow
    Hosted and narrated the Discovery Channel series ‘Beyond Bizarre’ (1997-2000)

Why he might be annoying:

    He reportedly became difficult to work with after his success in ‘The Robe’ and ‘Demetrius and the Gladiators.’
    He was arrested for narcotics possession (1958).
    His conviction was overturned on appeal, but he wound up serving fifteen months in jail anyway for having missed a court date during his retrial (1967-68).
    He affected a British accent.

Why he might not be annoying:

    He became interested in acting after finding a scrapbook from his mother’s career as a dancer.
    His over the top performance as Caligula in ‘The Robe’ stole the picture from stars Richard Burton and Jean Simmons.
    After he kicked drug addiction, his friend Bette Davis got him his first movie role in over a decade in ‘Bunny O’Hare.’ (1971)
