Why he might be annoying:

He risked his life twice and succeeded the second round.
he was featured on 'Ripley's Believe It or Not.'
He chipped a tooth and sustained an arm injury along with severe bruising.
His plunge was short, but he became trapped for forty-five minutes in the raging rapids.
Niagara Park Police had to escort him to the hospital.
He then attempted to plunge 180 feet from Houston Astrodome into a 10-foot deep pool in a wooden barrel.
His wooden barrel spun out and crashed into the pool's side, killing him instead.
He is one of a few of the Niagara daredevils who had freak accidents some time after their Falls stunts.

Why he might not be annoying:

He was the first Canadian to go over Horseshoe Falls, surviving to tell about it.
His 176 foot plunge was made in 3.2 seconds.
Niagara Park Police had to escort him to the hospital.
Members of his crew came to his rescue.
He showed his Canadian pride by decorating his barrel red.
He is buried near Niagara Falls.
