The Resume

Why Survivor 8: All-Stars might be annoying:

    They all looked so familiar!
It was the second Survivor in a row to take place in Panama (producers are getting lazy!).
They had two Jennas and two Robs in the same game.
Jenna Morasca accepted a spot on the show, but immediately regretted it, since her mother was dying from cancer at the time. She eventually walked away from the game after nine days.
Someone might have been denied a spot on the All-Star edition because of Jenna M.'s questionable decision to participate.
Strangely, Michael Skupin, from Survivor II, wasn't a part of this cycle, even though many had felt he could have won if not for his injury that season.
They had to put up with Rich's naked ass again.
During an immunity challenge, a naked Rich made incidental contact with Sue.
Sue thought that Rich was grinding on her, apparently forgetting that he was gay.
Eventually, Sue walked off, as well, after a tantrum in front of Jeff.
The Saboga tribe was dissolved after it lost a key challenge, and its members were split between the other tribes.
All of the past Sole Survivors besides Jenna M. got voted off early.
When they tried to reshuffle the two remaining tribes, only Amber stayed in her original tribe (Chapera).
In effect, all of Mogo Mogo became Chapera plus Amber, and the rest of Chapera became Mogo Mogo.
Before the final votes were revealed at the live finale, Boston Rob proposed to Amber.
That essentially made the final result a matter of pride, not money.

Why Survivor 8: All-Stars might not be annoying:

It premiered after Super Bowl XXXVIII (February 1, 2004).
It featured 18 castaways, two more than each of the previous cycles.
It gave several former castaways another shot at a million dollars.
Rich finally got to feel what it was like to get voted out (bamboozled!).
On a special episode airing after the reunion, they gave out additional awards to castaways.
Shii Ann was chosen, by the Winner Amber, to receive a car; and Rupert won his own $1 million when Survivor fans voted him their favorite All-Star castaway.
It brought Rob and Amber together.
