Why he might be annoying:

One of his poems is called 'Today is Very Boring.'
He wrote for an episode of Barney the Purple Dinosaur.
He was given a creepy character design for his animal-form guest appearance on Arthur.
He said: 'When I was a kid, I didn't like poetry, because I had a teacher who didn't like poetry. She was a good teacher because she taught me not to like it, too.'
He failed English in college three times before dropping out.

He has compiled numerous children's anthologies comprising poems of writers.
He has set his poems to his own music on the audio versions of his anthologies.
