The Resume

    (December 18, 1984- )
    Born in Hingham, Massachusetts
Drafted 26th overall by the Los Angeles Kings in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft
Forward for the Los Angeles Kings (2007-09), New York Rangers (2009-14), Tampa Bay Lightning (2014-17), Toronto Maple Leafs (2017) and the New Jersey Devils

Why he might be annoying:

He was the 7th born of 13 children in his family.
He was deemed expendable by the Kings, when traded him to the New York Rangers for virtually nothing.
He had the same sweater number as Dan Boyle, on the Rangers who replaced him on the roster, the year he signed with Tampa Bay.
He played on two of the latter's former clubs in his career.
Despite not establishing himself on the Kings roster, he got his father to request a trade to an Eastern Conference team for him.

Why he might not be annoying:

He isn't afraid to use his size to his advantage.
He changed his uniform number to 11 upon signing in Tampa to honor a childhood friend who passed away that summer.
He was diagnosed with chronic myeloid leukemia months after signing his contract with the Devils.
He made his debut with the Devils after missing the team's first ten games for treatment, scoring a goal in his second game as a member of the team.
