Why Sikkim might be annoying:

    It was invaded and occupied by Bhutan (1700-06) and Nepal (1788-93).
    It was forced to cede the city of Darjeeling to British India (1861).
    China recognized its status as a state of India in return for India recognizing Tibet as a territory of China (2003).
    It has the third lowest per capita GDP (Gross Domestic Product) among Indian state.
    It is the least populous state of India (610,577 inhabitants according to the 2011 census).

Why Sikkim might not be annoying:

    It is home to Kangchenjunga, the tallest mountain in India and third tallest in the world.
    A third of it is covered by the Khangichendzonga National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
    It has both alpine and subtropical climate zones.
    Its agriculture was converted to being fully organic (2015).
    Its Himalayan pass of Nathu Lo reopened to trade (2006), becoming the first open border crossing between India and China since a 1962 border war between the two nations.
