Won a NL Silver Slugger Award as a catcher (2004)

He was a switch hitter.
His longest stay with a single team was three years.
He never hit a triple throughout his entire playing career which resulted him retired with a career hit record of 576 with no triples.
He bounced from a Braves playoff competing team to a Diamondback team with a NL West 4th place finish.

He was selected for the 2004 NL All-Star Team.
He was with the Braves as they won three straight NL East Division titles.
Mike Hampton said of him being an All-Star player, 'Not only has he hit for average, but unlike a lot of catchers, he plays day games after night games. He's been in the lineup all the time. When we've needed a big hit, he's been the one to produce... he's very deserving.'
He was the 2006 NL leader for double plays turned as a catcher with 11.
