Why she might be annoying:

She had no judicial experience when Barack Obama announced her nomination to the Supreme Court.
Her lack of judicial experience resulted in comparisons to failed Bush nominee, Harriet Miers.
In 1995, she criticized confirmation hearings as 'vapid, hallow charades' which were no longer about legal analysis.
Conservatives blasted her for barring military recruiters at Harvard because of its 'Don't Ask, Don't Tell' policy.
Many left-wingers complained she wasn't liberal enough (too moderate and, politically, too much in the center).

Why she might not be annoying:

She graduated Princeton, Oxford and Harvard Law.
She was the first female dean at Harvard Law School.
She was also the first woman to serve as Solicitor General of the United States.
Political analysts viewed her as a 'safe' alternative to a 'firebrand liberal' nominee in a mid-term election year (2010).
While she didn't have any judicial experience, she studied and analyzed the law for several decades before her Supreme Court nomination.
