Why she might be annoying:

    She began competing in pageants as a child.
    The subject of her thesis for her business degree was the Miss America organization.
    In the Brown Alumnia magazine (March/April 2018), she said of Miss America, 'the organization really did exactly what it was meant to do, and that was to empower women'; four months later, she complained, 'The rhetoric about empowering women, and openness and transparency, is great; however, the reality is quite different.'

Why she might not be annoying:

    Starting at age fourteen, she organized an annual fashion show as a fundraiser for the Make-a-Wish Foundation.
    In high school, she trained for four seasons with the Radio City Rockettes.
    She was valedictorian of her high school.
    She was an intern for Senator John Hoeven (2016), and was his guest at the 2018 State of the Union Address.
    She became the first Miss America to be a judge at the Miss Universe pageant (2019).
