Why Montreal Alouettes might be annoying:

Their name sounds like a French children's song.
They changed their name to 'Concordes' in 1982, only to change it back in 1986; then they folded a year later.
Because they folded a month before the 1987 season began, the rest of the league was forced to revise their entire schedules.
They were one of many pro teams to sign, then release, troubled running back Lawrence Phillips.
Their uniforms make them look kind of like the Buffalo Bills.

Why Montreal Alouettes might not be annoying:

When the NFL's Cleveland Browns became the Baltimore Ravens, the Baltimore Stallions, the last remaining U.S. -based CFL team, folded and eventually became the reborn Montreal Alouettes in time for the 1996 season.
The 'new' Alouettes inherited the history and colors of the 'old' Alouettes, and do not consider the Baltimore Stallions a part of their own history.
They succeeded Montreal's previous football clubs, Montreal Foot Ball Club and Montreal A.A.A.
When a 1998 playoff game at Olympic Stadium, their home field, conflicted with a U2 concert at the same venue, the game was moved to the team's old home, Percival Molson Stadium. The fans loved being in the old stadium so much, that the team now plays all their regular season home games there.
Attendance has sharply increased since their move back to Molson Stadium.
The 2001 Grey Cup Game was, however, played at Olympic Stadium, and it drew one of the largest crowds for a Grey Cup Game.
The 1977 Grey Cup Game in Montreal was the highest-attended Grey Cup in history, with over 68,000 fans in attendance.
Former Buffalo Bills head coach Marv Levy led them to two Grey Cups before heading to the NFL.
