Strength & Conditioning coach for the Saints (1997-1998)
Linebackers coach for the Baltimore Ravens (1999-2000)
Defensive coordinator for the Carolina Panthers (2001-2002)
Head coach for the Jacksonville Jaguars (2003- )

Why he might be annoying:

He was mostly a journeyman player in the NFL.
He did not spend much time as an assistant before becoming a head coach.
He placed an ax in his locker room to serve as a motivational tool for his players, but punter Chris Hanson tried to swing it and broke his foot.
He stated that Byron Leftwich would be his starting quarterback for 2007, then released him.
He went 5-11 in his first year coaching.
He congratulated Donovan Darius for laying a hit on Robert Ferguson that ended up ending Ferguson's season.

He was baseball teammates with Randy Johnson and Mark McGwire.
He batted .340 as a member of USC's baseball team, and was drafted by the Toronto Blue Jays.
The Jaguars steadily improved after he was hired.
He was born on the same day as Jim L. Mora.
He completed his bachelor's degree in political science while he was with the Chiefs.
He and Mike Nolan were able to successfully lobby the NFL into allowing coaches to wear suits at home game.
In his senior year of football, he was runner-up to the Lombardi Award.
Both he and wise are involved with many charities in the Jacksonville area.
