Why he might be annoying:

His nickname came from the fact he was rambunctious as a child, but was spelt 'Hedake' in order to fit it on a vanity plate.
He threw away his hopes of being drafted by an NBA team, after it was revealed he was a key figure in a point shaving scandal at Arizona State.
He accepted a $20,000 bribe from a bookie in order fix four games during his senior year at ASU (1994).
He was charged with conspiracy and bribery and sentenced to one year in prison for his role in the scandal (1997).
He played on 14 teams in four countries during his playing career.

Why he might not be annoying:

He was considered a standout player during his four years at Arizona State.
He would have been a top-10 pick in the 1994 NBA Draft, had he not taken part in the point shaving scandal.
He holds the ASU men's basketball program records for most three-point shots attempted and for most three-point shots made.
He owned up to his role in the ASU point shaving scandal, and how it wound up ruining his life in the long-term.
He later worked for a non-profit organization that benefitted inner-city children, as well as did speaking at colleges to help athletes avoid falling into the traps of gambling.
