Why he might be annoying:

    He walked out on the Maple Leafs during their 1965 training camp as a result of contract dispute.
    His decision caused him to lose his status as a professional hockey player for three years.
    He recorded four seasons of 100+ penalty minutes.
    He had a nomadic career, bouncing between the NHL, minors and a year in Finland.
    He came out of retirement to play the 1979-80 season.

Why he might not be annoying:

    He was a member of the Maple Leafs team that won three consecutive Stanley Cup championships between 1962 and 1964.
    He played for the Canadian national team during his hiatus from the NHL.
    He had a tremendous impact in Finnish hockey, that he was inducted into that country’s Hockey Hall of Fame, despite playing a single season there.
    He was credited with helping take down Alan Eagleson, after he was part of the investigation that saw the latter imprisoned on charges of racketeering, fraud and embezzlement.
    He was posthumously inducted to Canada’s Sports Hall of Fame (2002).
