    Goaltender for the Florida Panthers (2000-06) and the Vancouver Canucks (2006-14)

Why he might be annoying:

    He is often criticized for possibly wearing pads that exceed league standards.
    He has gone from having a clean cut image to letting his hair grow long.
    Some hockey pundits feel he is overworked as he starts an average of 70+ starts a season.
    With his long hair and scruffy appearance, he bears a striking resemblance to comedian Sacha Baron Cohen.
    He failed to guide the Florida Panthers to a Stanley Cup Playoffs appearance, during his six seasons with the team.
    Despite making a long list of demands before agreeing to sign a contract extension, he was traded to the Canucks when he couldn't reach an agreement with the Panthers.
    Despite being a goalie captain, he is prohibited from physically wearing the C on his jersey, along with the other perks that go with the job.

Why he might not be annoying:

    He is left handed.
    ESPN hockey analyst Barry Melrose said that if he were on a good hockey team, they would become automatic Stanley Cup contenders.
    He is considered the best young goalie in hockey and one of the most dominating goalies, young or old.
    He set a Florida Panthers club-record for consecutive shut-out minutes with 182 minutes, 17 seconds (2004).
    After facing an astonishing 306 shots in 9 games, he recorded 296 saves, giving him a GAA (Goals Against Average) of 1.10, including 3 shut outs (2004).
    At the age of 24, there are already talks that he may be the most valuable player in the league.
    He speaks English, French, Italian and Spanish.
    He established himself as a clutch goaltender following his trade to Vancouver.
    He set the Canucks franchise records for games played in a single season (75 in 2006-07).
    He broke seven Canucks franchise records in his first three seasons with the team.
    He is the NHL's first goaltender since Bill Durnan to be appointed team captain.
    He backstopped Canada to an Olympic Gold Medal in Vancouver (2010).
