    National organizer for Huey P. Long's Share the Wealth movement
    Founded the Christian Nationalist Crusade (1942) and the America First Party (1943)
    Twice ran for US President (1944,1948)

Why he might be annoying:

    He reprinted Henry Ford's anti-Semitic tract, 'The International Jew.'
    He lobbied for the release of the Nazis convicted of war crimes at the Nuremburg tribunals.
    He claimed the six million Jews killed in the Holocaust had actually emigrated to the United States.
    He claimed Presidents Franklin D. Roosevelt, Harry Truman and Dwight David Eisenhower were secretly Jewish.
    He claimed that Hitler was a Communist and a tool of the Jews.
    He described the Passion Play he organized in Eureka Springs, Arkansas, as 'the only presentation of its kind that has not diluted its content to flatter the Christ-hating Jews.'

Why he might not be annoying:

    He was married to Elna Sorenson for 53 years.
    H.L. Mencken wrote, 'Smith is the greatest orator of them all, not the greatest by an inch or a foot or a yard or a mile, but the greatest by at least two light years.'
    He revitalized the economy of Eureka Springs, Arkansas, by commissioning the 65-foot-tall 'Christ of the Ozarks' statue and staging an annual Passion Play.
