They were the second of three cities who took the Baltimore Thunder franchise.
They were the NLL's second go-round in the Washington, D.C. area.
Their secondary logo was similar to that of the fictional Washington Sentinels.
They were the least successful of the two Washington franchises.

Why Washington Power might not be annoying:

They returned to the Beltway region.
They used the red, white and blue color scheme, which was fitting for the host city.
When they realized they were not going to be successful, they voluntarily agreed to suspend operations and relocate.
