The Resume

    (February 21, 1921-October 29, 1995)
    Born in Omaha, Nebraska
Birth name is Jeanne Ellen Hetherington
Portrayed Lola in 'Double Indemnity (1944)'
Also acted in 'Going My Way (1944),' 'Murder, He Says' (1945),' 'The Well-Groomed Bride (1946),' and 'The Last Round-Up (1947)'

Why she might be annoying:

She was being groomed for stardom by Paramount but never reached that level.
Some people consider her scenes in ‘Double Indemnity’ to be the weakest (at twenty four, she might have been too old to pass as Barbara Stanwyck’s teenage stepdaughter).
She won the part of Lola over Yvonne De Carlo, who went on to have the more successful career anyway.

Why she might not be annoying:

She was named ‘Canteen Dream Girl of the Northwest’ by the Washington state National Guard.
She kicked her film career off with a part in the 1944 Best Picture Oscar winner ‘Going My Way’ (which was also the highest-grossing film for the year).
She was thrown from her car in a serious auto accident in 1947, and suffered facial lacerations that cut her movie career short.
She was married to her husband for over forty years until his death in 1985.
