Why he might be annoying:

He is most famed for being the 'Red Rooster.'
The 'Red Rooster' is a dismal creation of the WWF(E). Taylor would strut around like a bird, and the crown of his head was styled into a mohawk and dyed red to resemble that of a rooster's.
He was considered for the 'Mr. Perfect' character that eventually went to Curt Hennig.
He thrived in various federations before he came to the gimmick-heavy WWF in the late 80s.
Vince McMahon thought he looked like a school teacher, so he didn't market Taylor very well.
    He had 11 knee surgeries.
He doesn't want to publish his wrestling memoirs because he fears his wife would 'kill him.'
Since he thought Taylor was 'too old,' Eric Bischoff fired him from wrestling in the WCW (1994).
He officially 'retired' from performing in 1995, but he wrestled on and off ever since.

Why he might not be annoying:

He competed in his high school and college wrestling teams.
As a 'pro' wrestler he mixed his styles and was competent as a brawler, a technical wizard and a high flyer.
    He would wrestle when injured.
He performed equally well as a face (good guy) or a heel (bad guy).
His wholesome good looks made him popular among female fans.
He chose the name 'Terry' in honor of his favorite wrestler, Terry Funk.
His wrestling career was not always lucrative.
When he didn't make enough money, his wife had to work two jobs to support their family.
He was rehired by the WCW as a booker for Monday Nitro (1995).
He is very grateful about working in wrestling for over 20 years and says that the business owes him nothing.
He majored in economics at Clemson University.
