Why she might be annoying:

She went by a single name, usually written in ALL CAPS.
Why ‘Sophie’ was chosen as a stage name: ‘It tastes good and it’s like moisturizer.’
’Lemonade’ was used in a McDonald’s commercial.
In early performances, she wore a mask to hide her identity.
Her secrecy resulted in accusations of ‘feminine appropriation’ based on the assumption that Sophie was a man using a female stage name.
She preferred not being referred to by pronouns.
