Why he might be annoying:

'Two Princes' ranked #21 on Blender's 50 Worst Songs Ever and #47 on VH1's 50 Most Awesomely Bad Songs Ever, for such reasons as excessive repetitiveness and scatting throughout the song.
Many fans of jam bands find 'Two Princes' to be a disgrace because it's a glorified pop song.
Their second album 'Turn It Upside Down,' sold few copies because it was too experimental.
Soon after their third album, which also made tiny movements on the chart was released, Epic dropped them from their label.

Why he might not be annoying:

Although considered a one-hit wonder many times, they have had several hits on Billboard's Hot 100 and Modern Rock radio stations.
Two years after 'Two Princes' fell off the charts, it appeared back on in the Top 10 for several months, proving 'awesomely bad' songs and bands can have large amounts of success.
Chris, Eric and Blues Traveler lead singer John Popper were good friends throughout high school.
In 1992, the then unknown band, The Wallflowers opened for them.
Unfortunately, in 1999 Chris was diagnosed with a rare vocal cord paralysis that prevents him to speak above a whisper. Since then, they have not been able to tour or record new material.
