Why he might be annoying:

In their high school days, they were known as Johnson Three Plus One (with older brother Tommy and cousin Alex Weir), but after Quincy Jones discovered them Tommy and Alex faded into the shadows.
They recorded 'Q' as an inspiring form of butt puckering.
Their song 'Get The Funk Out Ma Face' was one of the earliest to have fans incorporate a vulgarity in place of the word 'FUNK' when singing along to the record.
Once Jones stop producing them and the MTV generation took over, they were all but washed up.
As friendly as they were with Jones they weren't invited to partake in the 'We Are The World' extravaganza.

Why he might not be annoying:

They list their influences as The Four Tops, Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder and Smokey Robinson.
They are session musicians who made it big. One of their earliest gigs was playing on two Billy Preston albums.
Louis in particular, is considered to be one of the top bassists in the soul industry, having worked with Michael Jackson ('Thriller'), Aretha Franklin, Donna Summer, George Benson, James Ingram, Patti Austin, Deniece Williams and Herbie Hancock.
George is left-handed.
Two of their albums, 'Look Out For Number 1' and 'Right On Time,' earned them platinum records.
Chaka Khan and Ray Charles remade their classic 'I'll Be Good To You' (1989).
