Why Animaniacs might be annoying
Originally, the Warner siblings were to be ducks, but series creator Tom Ruegger realized that many animated series like DuckTales and Tiny Toon Adventures already had ducks as main characters.
There was a recurring joke as to what kind of species the Warner siblings were.
The series relies heavily on slapstick humor, cartoon violence, and some innuendo.
It inspired such inane slogans such as 'Hello-o-o, nurse!'
A popular sketch in the animated series featured a squirrel named Slappy who enjoys whacking fellow people and animals with her purse or giving them explosives.
Another one involved two mice who try unsuccessfully attempt to take over the world.
It was one of many series that switched networks.
Why Animaniacs might not be annoying
It was the second collaboration between producer Steven Spielberg and Warner Bros. Animation.
Many critics praised the series for its off-the-wall, but intelligent humor that pleased both juvenile and older audiences.
Often times, the show contains humorous pop culture references.
The series utilized a 35-piece orchestra.
It won several Daytime Emmy Awards and a Peabody Award.
It is essentially an animated 'Saturday Night Live.'
