Why Star Trek: Voyager might be annoying:

It lasted seven seasons, despite having horrible ratings.
It is believe that UPN did not want to lose it's 'Star Trek' legacy and thus kept it going.
Geneviève Bujold was cast as the captain but quit after filming began.
The show had the popularity of Star Trek but the weakness of being on the brand new UPN network.
The show was on concurrently with Star Trek Deep Space Nine.
Kate Mulgrew, the captain, who was 40ish, acknowledged that most of the audience were male teens, asked 'do they really want to look at their mother?'
    The doctor was a hologram.
Just about all the major actors cited that producers refused to allow them to be creative with their characters. The producer prefer the writers mold the character.
The cast were more relieved by the final episode of the series than saddened.
Paramount waffled in a commitment to have a female Starship captain and had males audition for the role.
Jeri Ryan turned down the role of Seven of Nine a number of times.
Dominic Keating was to appear in an episode, but he was held for his role in 'Enterprise.'
Season one ended abruptly. Some of season one's episode were held over to be shown in season two.
Seven of Nine is short for Seven of Nine Tertiary Adjunct Unimatrix Zero 1, her birth name was Annika Hansen.

Why Star Trek: Voyager might not be annoying:

It was the first to have a female Star Trek captain.
The core audience were 14-24 year old men.
Beside a female captain, the engineer and Borg, Seven of Nine, all played powerful women.
'Star Trek' writer Brannon Braga, acknowledged that prior most 'females were basically relegated to babes in miniskirts.'
Seven of Nine's uniform was form fitting and made Jeri Ryan a sex symbol.
Hudson Leick and Claudia Christian auditioned for the role of the borg, Seven of Nine.
A character in the episode 'Counterpoint' was named Kashyyk, which was the home planet of Star War's Chewbacca.
Former Star Trek characters Quark, Riker and Deanna Troi, appeared in this series.
Zimmerman was to be the name of the doctor, it was later used as the name of the doctor's creator and coincidentally is Jeri Ryan's real last name.
Jordan's King Abdullah appears as a crew member in the episode 'Investigations.'
An inside joke was having the number 47 appear on computer screens. Writer/co-producer Joe Menosky had a college professor who joked that all numbers are equal to 47.
Writer Jimmy Diggs wife received an organ from Samantha Wildman who died in an accident. To honor her memory he created Ensign Samantha Wildman.
The last line in both the first and last episode was Captain Janeway saying 'Set a course, for home.'
This was the first all American born Star Trek cast.
