He only appears in kung-fu films and almost always portrays a bald headed monk.
Despite working during and after the peak of Bruce Lee's popularity, he never made an impression on western audiences.

He worked his way up the ranks of kung-fu films starting off as a stunt man, then moving to fight choreography and finally starring in major roles.
He and acclaimed kung-fu director Chia-Liang Liu made over 20 films together.
He is Chia-Liang Liu's adopted brother.
He is a childhood idol of Quentin Tarantino, emphasized by the fact that he was given two major roles in 'Kill Bill.'
The Wu Tang Clan based their whole image around Gordon's films.
He has cult fan bases throughout the world.
