Internet Browser

The Resume

    (January 7, 2003- )
Default browser of Apple's Mac OS X

Why Apple Safari might be annoying:

Its code names are all cats: Jaguar, Panther and Tiger.
It use version numbers (to the public) and build numbers (Apple press releases) for each new version or bug fix.
It is only for Apple users and can not be used on a PC (thus losing 97% of the computer market).
It was open source for its first two years, but that was stopped due to compatibility problems.
Because of conflicts, it went from KHTML to a hybrid of KHTML and webcore.

Why Apple Safari might not be annoying:

It is extremely fast in loading web pages.
It competes against Internet Explorer, which is also available for the Mac.
It uses KHTML code instead of PC's HTML, because it is faster.
It is very small in size.
