He dated Whoopi Goldberg.
He is close friends with Martha Stewart.
He played Skeletor in the god-awful 'Masters of the Universe' movie.
Even worse, he acted in the god-awful Madonna movie 'Body of Evidence.'
He is a renowned ham.
He reportedly accused Joan Collins of upstaging him in a play by 'applying lipstick too elaborately' in their scenes together.
The playwright Edward Albee described him as 'sub-human.'
He is still best remembered for playing Dracula, even though that was over 25 years ago.

Why he might not be annoying:

He is an accomplished stage actor.
Towards the end of their relationship, Whoopi Goldberg made him sleep in the guest house.
He won two Tony awards.
His interpretation of Dracula was so memorable, most people don't realize he only performed the role in one film.
