Why he might be annoying:

    His face resembles that of Steve Carell's.
    He was briefly known as Gus Adams by broadcasters when the Canucks acquired another player named Greg Adams at the 1988 trade deadline.
    Despite being a decent scorer for the Canucks, he was overshadowed by both Trevor Linden and Pavel Bure.
    He struggled to find stability following his trade from the Canucks.
    He was injury prone throughout his career.
    He spent the final few seasons of his career playing for mediocre teams in Phoenix and Florida.

Why he might not be annoying:

    He is a father of twin boys.
    He was a standout player at Northern Arizona University, which in turn made him the first NCAA player from a non-traditional college hockey program to earn an NHL contract.
    He, along with Kirk McLean were acquired by Pat Quinn, in what would later become one of Quinn's franchise defining moves for the Canucks.
    He scored the series-clinching goal in the overtime period in Game 5 of the Western Conference Final, sending the Canucks to the franchise's second berth in the Stanley Cup Finals (1994).
    He, along with teammate Cliff Ronning were fan favorites with the Canucks, primarily due to their status of being British Columbia natives playing on the team.
    He recorded 70+ points in a season twice, along with recording 30+ goal seasons four times and recorded nine consecutive seasons of 20+ goals.
