He married Dana Noser just days after meeting her in March 2004.
She was a decade his senior.
After a night of drinking and sex, he killed her because 'his wife got on his nerves.'
She called him back to bed when he left the room to watch a sports program on television.
He returned to the bedroom with a claw hammer and struck her 70 times.
Offord had a long history of mental illness, stemming from childhood.
He was diagnosed with schizophrenia, bipolar disorder and other personality disorders.

He confessed his crime to a bartender.
She just won't shut up!
He just wanted to be left alone to watch his sports show.
On August 4, 2005, he was sentenced to death for the brutal slaying.
