Why he might be annoying:

Despite having an outstanding career as a player, few virtually took notice as a result of playing in a small market.
His second stint with the Nuggets was considered a disaster, as the team failed to improve in the standings year after year.
He fired Mike D'Antoni from the head coaching position after one season (it was strike shortened).
His second stint with the Nuggets came to an unceremonious end after he screamed 'Go drink another beer, you Mexican piece of shit' to a Hispanic fan after a loss. (2001).
He cited burnout as a reason he did not continue his role as a GM when he appointed himself as coach.

Why he might not be annoying:

He scored 27,000 career points in the ABA and NBA combined.
He was considered a legend the ABA, earning various accolades during a five year career.
He guided the Nuggets to an upset victory over the Seattle SuperSonics, marking the first time in NBA history, a #8 seed defeated a #1 seed in a first round playoff series (1994).
He is considered a franchise legend in Denver.
His jersey #44 was retired by the Nuggets.
