Baseball Player

The Resume

Why he might be annoying:

He was booed mercilessly by Orioles fans in his first game with the team, due to the fact he was Brooks Robinson’s replacement at third base.
He was frequently criticized by his teammate Jim Palmer over his defensive prowess, which played a role in his decision to leave the team.
He spent the later stages of his career on a mediocre Angels team.
His tenure with the Cardinals lasted a paltry four games.
He was charged by the Securities and Exchange Commission for insider trading (2011).
Months later, he was charged with criminal indictment, securities fraud and money laundering in regards to the case.

Why he might not be annoying:

He played well in Baltimore, despite the fact he had massive shoes to fill at the third base position.
His departure from the Orioles paved the way for his successor, Cal Ripken, Jr. to take over at third base.
He recorded two three home run games in a five day span (1982).
His experience playing in Japan allowed him to serve as the film consultant for the 1991 film ‘Mr. Baseball.’
He had Rod Carew support him at his securities fraud trial, with Carew going as far as calling him a man of good character who always had the best interests of others at heart.
