Why he might be annoying:

    His surname is spelled with only one 'T.'
    Prior to being appointed to Denver superintendent, he had no experience as a school administrator.
    In 2014, he was one of the few Democratic senators to support the construction of the Keystone XL pipeline after previously opposing it.
    He also supported the Trans Pacific Partnership trade bill in 2015.
    He initially supported the controversial PROTECT IP Act (PIPA) in 2012, but changed his mind in response to backlash from his constituents.

    He is a direct descendant of Edward Fuller, one of the pilgrims who traveled to America aboard the Mayflower.
    He served as editor-in-chief of 'Yale Law Journal.'
    Time magazine listed him as one of several 'Influential Educational Activists' in a 2011 issue.
    He supported healthcare reform. gun control, and immigration reform.
    He is known for his calm demeanor, friendly personality, and sense of humor.
