    Middle linebacker for the Chicago Bears (1952-65) and the Los Angeles Rams (1966)
    Selected into the NFL 1950s All-Decade Team
    Selected into 8 Pro Bowls (1954-61)
    #61 retired by the Chicago Bears
    #47 retired by the Wake Forest University
    Inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame (1974)
    Died in an automobile accident at age 52

Why he might be annoying:

    He started off his early stages of his NFL playing career on losing Bears teams.
    He guided the Bears to a 7-47 loss in the 1956 NFL Championship game to the New York Giants.
    He was hampered by injuries in his last seasons in Chicago.
    Despite being a most notable player with the Bears, he ended his playing career with the Rams.
    He drove passed a stop sign only to run into a tractor-trailer before making a turn at an intersection which led to his death.

    He was credited as the player behind the 4–3 defense.
    He was the NFL's first middle linebacker.
    He was the first Bears middle linebacker to be in the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
    He anchored the defense that helped the Bears win the 1963 NFL Championship game to avenge their 1956 defeat against the New York Giants.
    He retired from his playing career with 18 interceptions, 144 interception yards, 28.5 sacks and 19 fumble recoveries.
    He was chosen as one of the Top 100 Greatest Bears of All-Time to honor 100 years of the team's history (2019).
