    He was a member of the University of Florida baseball team that won the College World Series (2017).
    He made the Reds Opening Day roster, after working his way up from the minors in a three year span.
    He, along with Randy Arozarena were the first Rookie of the Year winners in the same season in nearly 70 years to earn the award, while primarily serving in the leadoff role.
    He successfully made the transition from playing the corner to the middle infield positions seamlessly.
    He was the first Reds rookie since Scott Williamson, and the first position player since Chris Sabo to win the National League Rookie of the Year Award.
