Why he might be annoying:

    He was yet another player whose surname started with B to be dubbed part of the Astros 'Killer B's' trio alongside both Jeff Bagwell and Craig Biggio.
    He bleached his hair during the early stages of his career.
    He was unable to replicate the numbers he posted during his breakout 2005 season.
    He finished second to Barry Bonds in intentional walks and fewest hits in the same season (2006).
    He was unable to catch on with another major league team, following his release from the Yankees.

Why he might not be annoying:

    He is the first player in the history of the USC baseball program to record both 20 home runs and 20 stolen bases in a single season.
    He is the first player in major league history to have won championship rings in college and every level of the minor leagues, along with participating in a World Series.
    He, along with five Astros players survived a near-hostage situation when two armed gunmen barged into their hotel room during Spring Training and robbed them of their belongings (2000).
    He served as an injury replacement for Scott Rolen at the 2005 MLB All-Star Game.
    He took up a career in coaching at the minor league level, following the end of his playing career.
