    He suffered with severe depression after 'The Steve Harvey Show,' ended.
    He then tried to release a rap album under the name 'Romeo,' in order to try different venues to deal with his depression.
    He had a sleeve and chest tattoo.
    He suffered with acne.
    He had piercings in both of his ears.
    He often wore that stupid Nike sign in his haircuts during the height of his career in the 1990's.
    He had an ego, as he thought he could pull any woman that looked his way.

    He was shot on 9 November 2002, while driving in the passenger seat with his friend Brandon Quintin Adams, a popular known actor as well. The bullet had entered the car through the trunk, and went through Merlin’s head, killing him instantly.
    The incident was based on him flirting with the shooter's girlfriend.
    There have also been rumors that he was killed by the shooter, because of his good looks, and that the woman was more attracted to him than the shooter.
    He was best friends with Steve Harvey.
    He was an only child.
    He was a poet that knew how to rhyme his words often on stage while going to poetry gatherings.
    He was a male model.
