Why they might be annoying:

There were rumors that they were losing interest in MCA's arrangements and that they were gonna quit.
Their release, 'Illadelph Halflife' made a lot of rap and hip-hop fans start liking them and it made their original alternative music fans lose interest in them.
Malik B. doesn't like touring, so he quit touring but still records with them, only showing up to about one show each tour.

Why they might not be annoying:

Unlike most rap artists/groups today, they play their own instruments and record respectable music.
Kamal (Scott) has produced and played instruments for tons of artists, including Beyoncé Knowles, Nelly Furtado, Pink and Busta Rhymes.
Their music was successful among alternative music fans and they were even on the tour of Lollapalooza 1995.
They ranked #17 on Rolling Stone's Top 20 Live Bands and they are known for their amazing sets.
They formed when they met at a Philadelphia art school and started playing talent shows and played on street corners.
?uestlove wore a shirt that said 'Absolute Idiot' with a picture of George W. Bush at the 2003 Grammys.
Fans and critics agree that they make creative music, great beats and none of their songs sound the same.
