    She was married to choreographer Michael Bennett, who was a homosexual.
    She divorced Bennett less than a year after marrying him.
    She claimed to be blackballed from show business for a year because of the divorce.
    She dropped out of school at fifteen.
    She performs a one-woman show.

    Bennett kept his homosexuality a secret from her, and when he was in a hospital dying of AIDS he refused to see her. She won a Tony for 'A Chorus Line.'
    She became nearly paralyzed by rheumatoid arthritis in the 1970s, but came back to perform her signature role of Cassie in 'A Chorus Line' at forty-three.
    She is a successful choreographer.
