Why he might be annoying:

ABC News producer Roderick McCullom sued him, claiming sexual harassment. McCullom said that rebuffing Bartelstein's advances put his job in jeopardy (June 24, 2003).
He said that all of the claims are 'completely false' and 'I'm shocked. I think this is just ridiculous.'
McCullom also claimed Bartelstein used drugs and has pictures of himself nude on AOL.
He and McCollum live on the same block in the West Village and McCollum said Bartelstein stalked him and used binoculars to peek into his window.
He filed a defamation lawsuit against McCullom.
He arrived late to several newscast and ultimately was fired for falling asleep during a newscast (March 2007).

Why he might not be annoying:

He vowed he would not settle and wants to go to trial.
He does not deny that he is gay.
At nineteen, he anchored the weekend news in Evansville, Indiana.
He is known for his banter with co-news anchors.
