He was a high school teacher before becoming an actor.
He was a successful character actor for more than four decades.
He appeared in the original ‘Invasion of the Body Snatchers’ and other classic sci-fi/horror films.
Unlike most ‘Little House on the Prairie’ cast members, he had no problem getting work after the show ended.
He aged fairly well.
He continued to act into his eighties.
His hometown puts on an annual ‘Dabbs Greer Days’ festival to honor him.
