Convicted of conspiracy and providing material support to terrorists (February 10, 2005) and was sentenced to 28 months in prison

Why she might be annoying:

She looks like Michael Moore in drag.
She passed a mesage from Sheikh Omar Abdel-Rahman to his followers urging them to end a cease fire with the Egyptian government and resume terrorism.
At her sentencing hearing, she claimed she had been 'politically naive' in representing Abdel-Rahman.
She said, 'I don't have any problem with Mao or Stalin or the Vietnamese leaders or certainly Fidel locking up people they see as dangerous.'
Her case inspired an episode of 'Law and Order.'

Why she might not be annoying:

Her defenders claim the government is trying to intimidate lawyers from providing a vigorous defense in terrorism cases.
The government used wiretaps and hidden cameras to gather evidence against her, which some suggest violated attorney-client privilege.
Her sentencing was delayed a year so she could undergo treatment for breast cancer.
The judge who sentenced her said that during her long career of representing unpopular clients, she had 'performed a public service, not only to her clients, but to the nation.'
