Why Gettysburg, Pennsylvania might be annoying:

It is known for being the site of the bloodiest battle of the US Civil War.
Its economy relies on the tourism industry, specifically the Civil War sites.
It has hot humid summers and cool winters.
It is recognized as a borough, instead of an actual city by the state.
It was considered a major hub for arsenal manufacturing during the Civil War.
It's quite boring here if you aren't into history.

Why Gettysburg, Pennsylvania might not be annoying:

Both the Battle of Gettysburg and Abraham Lincoln's Gettysburg Address take their names from the community.
It recreates the Civil War battle every year between June 1 and 3.
It maintained the physical damage from the Civil War on some of its structures, preserving the significance of the community in the battle.
Outside of the Civil War, it is home to Dwight Eisenhower's home and farm, which was preserved into a museum.
It was considered one of the largest furniture manufacturing centers, prior to the collapse of the industry after World War II.
