Why he might be annoying:

    He was involved in a nasty contract dispute with the Red Wings on two occasions.
    When he couldn't get a raise in arbitration, he signed in the KHL for more money, only to bolt one year into the contract.
    He was forced to sit out the 2010 playoffs as a result of joining the Red Wings after the trade deadline.
    He went up to the stage accepting his Lady Byng Award in his socks.
