She had a nose job.
During her reign as Miss Universe, the pageant co-owner Donald Trump, threatened to dethrone her because she gained 30 lbs.
She appeared on 'The Nanny' as one of her Miss Universe prizes (1997).
In 1998, she was accused of driving the getaway car for her boyfriend who allegedly killed his brother-in-law. The charges were dismissed after Alicia proved she was on the set filming a soap opera at the time.
Her singing career flopped.
She has a pierced navel.
While on the Spanish reality show 'La Granja (The Farm),' cameras caught the betrothed Alicia having sex with co-star Fernando Acaso (April 2005).

Why she might not be annoying:

She is often named as one of the most beautiful Miss Universe title holders.
She won the 'Style' trophy at Miss Universe, in addition to all three rounds of competition.
After handing over her crown, she called Trump an 'old dirt bag' for publicly humiliating her about gaining weight.
Her father owned 2 toy stores in her hometown of Maracay.
Other pageant contestants hated her simply for being 'Miss Venezuela.'
