Why he might be annoying:

    He was prone to getting sacked during his playing career.
    His contributions to the Bengals franchise are largely ignored by team owner Mike Brown.
    Despite posting solid numbers during his career, there is debate to whether or not he should be considered to be inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
    He left the Bengals on sour terms, following his firing after being associated with the franchise in various capacities over a 30 year period.
    He was considered a great quarterback who was unable to lead his team on a deep playoff run.

    He was discovered by Bill Walsh, while playing for Augustana College.
    He was one of the first stars in the history of the Cincinnati Bengals franchise.
    He was one of the first quarterbacks to play the West Coast Offense system.
    He holds the Bengals franchise records in numerous offensive categories.
    He held the NFL record for highest completion percentage, prior to being surpassed by Drew Brees.
    His number 14 was unofficially retired by the Bengals, but he personally granted Andy Dalton permission to wear it during Dalton's tenure with the team.
