The Resume

    (October 13, 1938- )
    Born in Munich, Germany
Acted in over 30 German films
Select filmography includes ‘The Punch Bowl (1959),’ ‘New Year's Eve Punch (1960),’ and ‘Viel Larm Um Nichts (1964)’
Best known as The Haughty Princess in ‘The Singing Ringing Tree’ (1957)

Why she might be annoying:

She briefly attempted a signing career.
She took part in the legitimately creepy German children’s film ‘Singing Ringing Tree.’
A Radio Times readers' poll in 2004 voted 'Singing Ringing Tree' the 20th spookiest TV show ever.
Her 'Haughty Princess' character in Singing Ringing Tree is punished for her vanity by being made 'ugly' - turning her blonde ringlets into straight green hair (and that’s all…).
The exchange was more effective and more sense before dying your hair crazy colors could possibly be considered cool (nowadays she looks like a GWAR groupie or some AEW interviewer).

Why she might not be annoying:

She trained at the Leipzig School of Ballet and at the Berlin Ballet School.
She became a member of the ensemble at the DEFA Studio for Feature Film, from 1959 to 1973.
She only collaborated with her husband, director Konrad Wolf, one time; for the film ‘Der Kleine Prinz.’
She began touring with her own literary-musical programs at various theaters throughout Germany, in the early 1970’s.
From 1994 until her retirement, she worked as an assistant director at the Friedrichstadt-Palast theater’s Kleine Revue.
‘Singing Ringing Tree’ and her performance has attained a sort of cult following over several generations (mainly after it was purchased by the BBC and broken up into a three-part TV miniseries that was aired regularly as a kids’ program).
