Why he might be annoying:

Their name sounds like something McDonald's might call their playground.
Their original female lead singer, Balja, quit the group after their first album.
Mey thanked Balja on ensuing albums.
Smooth T and Steve employed martial arts into their dance routines.
Splitting in 1996, the group reformed as a trio in 1998 with no original members.

Why he might not be annoying:

They had an international composition. Mey is from France, Smooth T from Italy, Steve from Germany and Rod D the U.S.
They had Top 40 hits in the U.S., but their international following was massive.
They charted #1 songs in several European countries as well as Israel, Canada and the Far East.
They never had a hang-up about the new trio, who quit after four years, using their 'Fun Factory' name for recording and marketing.
