Why he might be annoying:

He was divorced.
One of his marriages was annulled.
He was a workaholic and womanizer.
He received many honorary doctorates.
A group of policemen once had his black radio boxes destroyed, thinking they were bombs.
He was an outspoken Fascist and supporter of Benito Mussolini.
He blocked all Jews from entering the Academy of Italy.
Mussolini was the best man at his second wedding.
There is controversy over whether he actually was the first person to develop radio.
His name sounds like macaroni.

Why he might not be annoying:

He was the first person to put wireless telegraphy to practical use.
During his schooling in Florence, he was often teased about his Bolognese accent.
He taught himself about telegraphy, having received little formal education.
He received the Nobel Prize for Physics (1909).
He served in the Italian Army and Navy during World War I.
He help found the BBC.
Because of his invention, the Titanic was able to send out distress signals the night of its sinking, and over 700 people survived.
Thomas Edison once said, 'If Marconi says it's true, it's true.'
