Pitcher for the Seattle Mariners (1985-1986, 1988-1991, 1998), San Francisco Giants (1992-1994) and the Colorado Rockies (1995-1997)

He started his rookie season with a losing record of 6-10.
His bone spurs made him miss the 1987 season.
He was beaten by Greg Maddux for the 1992 NL Cy Young Award.
His productivity went into decline as he started playing in Colorado.
His tenure in Colorado was plagued by back problems, and he couldn't handle Colorado's thin air.
