Recorded the albums 'Electronic' (1991), 'Raise the Pressure' (1996), and 'Twisted Tenderness' (1999)
Recorded the singles 'Getting Away with It' (1989), 'Get the Message' (1991), 'Disappointed' (1992), 'Forbidden City' (1996), 'For You' (1996), and 'Vivid' (1999)

Why they might be annoying:

The lyrics of 'Getting Away with It' parodied Morrissey's morose public image.
'Twisted Tenderness' originally included Ice-T declaring 'This is not a pop album,' but the sample had not been cleared, so it had to be removed before the album's release.
Although there was never a formal announcement of their breakup, Marr did say the band had 'reached its natural conclusion.' (2003)

Why they might not be annoying:

Sumner originally planned to record a solo album, but contacted Marr after deciding he did not like working alone.
They successfully blended the synths of New Order with the guitar sound of The Smiths.
They collaborated with Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe of Pet Shop Boys and Karl Bartos of Kraftwerk.
Marr said 'Getting Away with It' was 'maybe the track I'm most proud of out of my whole career.' (2007)
